Author's Pick

Well. What I want to introduce to you for today is 小蝴蝶小披风 (Shiny and Moony),a new masterpiece from 几米 (Jimmy Liao)! Know him? No? What about the movie Turn Left, Turn Right? Yes, that movie is based on one of Jimmy's books, A Chance of Sunshine. I bought Shiny and Moony today and found it interesting to read (but it was not quite inexpensive). It's a picture book for adults and children. Here is some info about this title:

About Yesterday

I was rather angry yesterday. As an additional explanation, the noise was so loud that no-one could understand it until he/she experienced it. Today is similar: they started their work at about 8:50 AM, and they are still drilling, sawing, and hammering now. The overall situation here is like a construction was being carried out right beside my room. Tong, tong, tong, tong... tung, tung, tung, tung... kzzzzzzzzzzzz>>>>>!!!!... zirk, zirk, zirk, zirk... tok, tok, tok, tok... bzzzzzzzzz>>>>>!!!!... zok, zok, zok, zok... grzzzzzzzz>>>!!!!....

Noise Pollution

Some brainless idiots on the lower floor have been drilling the apartment since 9AM (now is 5PM). Who cares what they drill? They are making such unbearable noise. They woke me up in the morning, and their noise disturbed me the whole afternoon. Now I can't get my work done on time.

I hope these guys burn in hell!!

If they won't, I hope they, at least, can't sleep well everyday or lose their job.

Power Failure + Awesome XP

A few hours ago, power supply was restored after a major blackout in KL and some other states. This outage occured when I was still at a class. There must be some kind of fail-safe in that building. That's why we were not affected. What followed were that my friends and I travelled around KL to carry out some tasks; that we saw many people standing outside tall buildings (including KLCC and Megan Phileo Avenue II); that we got stuck at a traffic light for a while; and that I couldn't go home after finishing our tasks because LRTs weren't operating. I decided to stay at college until LRTs resumed their service.

My timing was good. I think I caught the first LRT even though I wasn't told when the LRTs would operate again. The PUTRA station was somewhat hot. After disembarking from the LRT, I walked quickly towards the exit of the station as usual, and then something awesome happened. I saw no one, except the PUTRA staff, at the ticket counters and on the stair and escalators. Well, this wasn't surprising enough. When I almost reached the ground floor using an escalator, I saw that the gates were closed and there were a zillion people standing outside the gates wanting to come in. I was like, "Wow! I'm a celebrity! So many fans are waiting for my presence!" At that moment, there was still nobody around me except two guards at the gates who soon opened the gates. That situation really made me think that I was someone special. Then, I quickly got out of the station before the gates were fully opened and before anyone came in. Rushing to a STAR station for another ride of LRT, only to see that the gates were closed, I had to wait again. Luckily, it was not so long. After about five minutes, I got on board. Later, everything went on smoothly and safely, until I was in the middle of typing this entry...

My computer suddenly restarted without any known reasons.

Ho Cheng Yuen

I was misled into believing that Ho Cheng Yuen was a place where people went for swimming. It was not such a place. I was travelling home on foot today instead of by LRTs. My friend dropped another friend and me at Ho Cheng Yuen, then we followed the LRT track to walk to my home through that area. Ho Cheng Yuen is located by the STAR's Hang Tuah station, actually. As we walked along, we saw that there were a children's playground and a street of shops that were selling cloths and clothes. That place didn't make me feel that there was anywhere for swimming. Perhaps it was somewhere further. Walking past a garbage area and over a bridge to another side of the LRT track, we returned to our respective homes: my friend took the LRT, and I continued walking for another distance.

Super Mario

I miss that game. I remember that, long, long time ago, someone came to my house and completed the whole game in just a few hours. I was not a good gamer, being compared to her; I never could complete the whole game myself.

Here are some Mario's websites:

Oh My Google!

I know my name appears many times in this blog, but it shouldn't be used as a keyword in the selection of ads. I'm sure a visitor won't really be interested to visit other websites about people who have the same name as the author of the website he/she is visiting.

Tsunami...

January 8, 2005. 10:48 PM
When I watched those tsunami videos, I was thinking of something. I wasn't sure of what I was thinking, but now I know that it was the scenes in The Day After Tomorrow.
