Skype is your modern PC phone. If you've been using built-in PC phones like those found in Instant Messengers (IMs), you may find Skype useful also. If you are using a stand-alone PC phone like PC-Telephone, maybe Skype is your better choice. Skype, in fact, is an IM itself (if you prefer to call it so), only with more functions of internet telephony. It is said to have clearer voice. I believe so, but I didn't actually compare its voice quality with other PC phones. One good feature I like about Skype is its 5-person conference call. It lets five people talk to each other at the same time! Skype is also cross-platform and multilingual! All PC-to-PC calls are free and PC-to-phone calls are relatively cheap. Signup is required to use its service. Download size is about 10MB. See the screenshots!

Love Jay's Songs
A portion of lyrics of the song Wai Po (Grandmother) in Jay Chou's Qi Li Xiang album:
I think the "cousin" in the lyrics is referring to Jay Chou himself.
I love this song. Other than this, I also love Luan Wu Chun Qiu (Chaotic Dance Spring Autumn) in this album. Very nice, won't get bored for listening to them many times.
记得去年外婆的生日 表哥带我和外婆参加(Reference: Jay-Chou.net)

Do You Eat While You Sleep?
I got good news and bad news for you. Bad news first? OK then.
Long time ago I received an email talking about some believe-it-or-not "facts". Part of that email said that all of us do eat spiders while we're sleeping. Recently, that "fact" came to my mind, and this time I was curious to know more details about it. I researched on the web and I found this:
The good news is: I found an article that tells something you might feel very happy to know. Check it out.

Did you know that when you sleep, the spiders can crawl on you. When we sleep the spider tries to drink from our mouth for water but often times we eat them in our sleep. The average person eats 30-60 spiders a year. That's almost one every week. That seems quite reasonably true because some spiders are really small and move fast. If you're too worried or scared, maybe you can think about taping your mouth before you sleep. That might be a good way to prevent spiders from entering your mouth. Anyway, let's talk about the good news.

No More Gridlock
Woohoo! I beat level 40 -- the last level of online flash board game Gridlock and the only level that I took many days to solve. I tried so many days and got stuck in the same situation -- the targeted block (see picture) is at the top-right corner. Finally, almost giving up, I searched for a guide. Thanks to a screenshot that looks like the picture above. Got hinted that the targeted block was actually supposed to be at the top-left corner. Then within a few minutes, the puzzle was solved. It was so easy but I took so many days...

Weird SMS Of The Day
Amount of short messages or calls from anonymous (or what I prefer to call -- mysterious) senders/callers keeps increasing (slowly). An interesting SMS among those can't be any other but this:
老公,回了吗?电话打不进。English translation:
Darling (husband), are you coming back yet? I couldn't get through to you.which I received from a Maxis mobile today at 3.55AM. I don't know whether the sender is someone I know, but I guess she (can't be he) is not.
Selemat Hari Raya!
Well, just three days ahead of Deepavali... happy "Raya Day", all my Malaysian friends and everyone who celebrates it!

Hyper-Threading (HT)
See how Wikipedia defines Hyper-Threading (HT), and how Ron Fenley explains how it works. Also, another definition is from whatis.com.

It's Raining Season Again!
The weather in KL is bad now. It rains everyday, causing inconvenience of going out. So cold sometimes. The forecasted rainfall in KL is rather high for November and December. That is 300 to 350mm per month.
Bad for me.
Bad for me.
Old Competition, New Awareness
IT-related competitions always interest me. That will include a .NET development competition, called AsiaStudent.NET 2002 Competition, which was held in KL two years ago on December 23rd. Although it is really a little too late, it is worth knowing if you are interested (like me) and did not aware of it. Here is the winner list:
- MMUTECH, MMU
- ProtoGen, USM
- Binary Bugs, APIIT
- SS.NET@KDU, KDU
- Vision Extreme, APIIT
Why wasn't there an Informatics team leading in this competition? So, MMU, USM, APIIT, and KDU must have some adept students in them? There sure is chance. Informatics can make it too.

Some Definitions
Having happened to browse the "freedom of speech" definition page from Wikipedia, I learn that there are so many forms of government. This is something interesting I should share it with you.

Fine, Meaningful Calligraphy
Painted by a popular calligraphist, Zheng Ban-Qiao.
It says:
"Nan De Hu Tu
It's hard to be smart
It's hard to be "hu tu" (not smart)
Transforming from smart to "hu tu" is harder still
Yield a little
Back down a step
Think and be careful
All for rewards in the future"
(Quoted from China the Beautiful)
Ah~ so meaningful...
My Friendship, My Love
I know, friendship is a property. It is so much required in my life. Although sometimes I weigh it with my goals to see whether it is worth having, but if I have built it, I won't ruin it easily, perversely, arbitrarily. Understanding is an underpinning a friendship should be built on, I think.
Sexual love. I don't know how much I should give. I'm too greedy to want eveything, but I can't afford to have everything. Love comes, love goes, so fast. Perhaps, it is best to be sincere all the time.
